Everything you need to know about our Middle School

Meet Our Vice-Principal

Mrs. Kara Lawrence

I have been an educator for eleven years.  I began my career at the University of New Hampshire as a history instructor.  Subsequently, I taught at several other colleges including Massasoit Community College and Becker College.  In 2015, I transitioned to teaching in secondary education.  I taught in the Social Studies department at Coyle and Cassidy for three years before becoming the Department Chair in the Spring of 2018.  As a department chair, I was responsible for overseeing the curriculum for grades 5-12, supervising teachers within the department, and serving on the leadership board.  I hold a BA with Honors and a Master’s Degree in History from Binghamton University.  I also attended Bridgewater State University and completed a Post-Baccalaureate program to become licensed to teach Social Studies in grades 5-12 in the state of Massachusetts.  My family are active members of Annunciation of the Lord parish in Taunton.

“It is with great pleasure that I take on the responsibility of helping to create an exciting and engaging learning environment for middle school students at Our Lady of Lourdes.”

All OLOL Middle School students will automatically be accepted to Bishop Connolly High School without the need for a placement exam.
