Everything you need to know about our Middle School

  • Tuition / Registration / FACTS

    Tuition

Please refer to our tuition page here.

    Registration

The registration process is very easy. We will ask you to complete a simple online form, and we will follow up at a later date with other forms you may need to complete.  There is no need to request transcripts as all records will follow your child to OLOL.

    FACTS

OLOL uses the FACTS Tuition Management System.  Families need to change the school of choice for their child and can do this easily at this link: https://online.factsmgt.com/signin/3GJ1F

  • Uniforms

    Uniforms

OLOL uses Donnelly’s for our uniform company. The website provides all information needed to purchase any size or style of uniform.

  • Drop-off and Pick-up / Bus / Lunch

    Drop-off and Pick-up Process

Parents may park across the street as a ‘drop off only’ line is available in front of the school with staff available to monitor/supervise the children.

    Bus Transportation

Bus transportation for Taunton residents will continue to be available.

Once we have the names and addresses of the children requiring bus transportation, this information will be sent to the bus company.

    Lunch

An expansion of our hot lunch program is under development, to ensure appropriate lunch options are available for middle schoolers.

  • Curriculum / Specials

    Curriculum

STEM will continue to be a focus of the Middle School curriculum and we anticipate leveraging the Makerspace equipment at OLOL as well.

The highly talented Middle School faculty will continue to build upon the rigorous and challenging curriculum that has been developed.

This curriculum has been designed in collaboration with Bishop Feehan and Bishop Stang High Schools, ensuring excellent preparation for rigorous high school academics.

    Specials

In addition to their core academic classes, students will continue to participate in specials including art, music, library/study hall and physical education.

  • Special Education

    Special Education

We encourage families with students who have IEP or 504 accommodation plans to discuss their needs with us directly.  Other students who require support to meet their individual learning needs may be eligible for assistance as well.

  • Social / Emotional Needs

    Social/Emotional Needs

OLOL is blessed to have access to a Diocesan social / emotional expert to provide counseling to students and families in need.  The frequency of on-site visits is determined by the need of our students and families.  Please contact Mrs. Turner for more information.

  • Sports / Extra-curricular Activities

    Sports Activities

We have a wonderful athletic club as part of our afterschool offerings that is available to students of all ages. Additional sports opportunities are continuously being evaluated for future implementation.

    Extracurricular Activities

The STEM opportunities are a focus of our extracurricular activities. Specific projects include building a race car and competition, 3-D printer usage, and much more.

The Middle School has its own chapter of the National Junior Honor Society and we continue to induct new members into this prestigious society each year.

Other clubs are added and changed as students show interest, such as mock trial and debate.
